Le’Veon Bell not leaving Steelers unless they trade him

Le’Veon Bell is prepared to spend his career in Pittsburgh.

Despite failing to reach a long-term deal with the franchise this offseason, the Steelers running back on Sunday tweeted that he doesn’t plan on leaving the team unless he’s traded.

“I haven’t heard that about T.J.,” Joseph said Tuesday (via The Denver Post). “I’ve been on the practice field. He’s one of our better players, so I would be surprised if he was, but I have not heard that.”

The Broncos owe Ward $4.5 million for the season with a cap hit of $5.75 million. If the team were to trade him they would still have to pay the $1.25 million difference of his prorated signing bonus.

Denver has had one of the best defenses in the NFL over the past few years with Ward being a big part of it. Since the Broncos signed Ward in 2014, Denver has been ranked first each of the past two seasons in passing defense and ninth in 2014. He recorded 87 tackles with an interception in 14 games started last season.

Collins is a good player, but he is neither a difference-making player nor does he play an expensive position. The Browns disregarded both when they signed him. This contract treats Collins as if he’s an elite inside linebacker or a very good rush linebacker. He is neither of those, which puts his contract in a class all by itself and about $4 million per year too high.seahawks_159
